Welcome!

Hello. My name is Dr. Margo Merin, and I hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work.

My passion and primary focus is working within what I refer to as the ā€œsenior citizen universe.ā€ I’m qualified to navigate within this sphere as I’ve been a card carrying senior for several decades, and I experience seniorhood in ā€œliving color.ā€

The focus of my endeavors do not fall within the formal definition of ā€œsocial worker.ā€ In my work, I draw from my extensive academic training and professional involvements, as well as from my personal life experiences.

When I reached eighty years of age (two years ago), I decided that I wanted to become a voice for my group, and I plan to do so for as long as I can. My goal is to motivate and guide seniors to make choices that will provide a purposeful and satisfactory life regardless of age and circumstances.

As you read the pages on my website, you will learn about the interactive Groups, Workshops, and Motivational Presentations that I offer. Key topics are: ā€œEmbracing Life,ā€ ā€œAgeism,ā€ ā€œGrief, Loss, and Bereavement,ā€ ā€œSelf Care,ā€ ā€œPersonal Forgiveness,ā€ and ā€œLife Coping Strategies.ā€

Also, my blog, entitled ā€œMargo’s Senior Musings,ā€ covers a myriad of topics that relate to living our lives as seniors.

I welcome you with these positive words:

ā€œLive Each Day As Though It Is Your Last Day.ā€
