Meditation Plus (Workshop)

This ninety minute workshop includes two components:

  1. The presentation of a timely topic that relates to senior life; and

  2. The presentation of guided meditation techniques.

Near the end of the workshop, there is a shared discussion concerning reactions to the meditation experience, as well as other relevant ideas and comments.

The objective of practicing meditation is to relax the mind, and its emotional responses, by learning how to experience a “time out” from the awareness of external surroundings and, instead, to be able to perceive an inner-self awareness of calmness and serenity.

All of this is accomplished in a non-threatening, non-judgmental, and self-affirming manner. This is the ultimate goal of meditation.
